Tour description

Starting from the church of St.Augustus we turn left. After about a kilometer, behind the wooden cottages owned by HEP, the so-called Bungalows we move on to the macadam road. After crossing the street, a quarry bypass, we walk a couple more minutes until the spot where paths part. We turn left towards Maličćak. Half and hour of ascenting and difficult walk we come to the diverging road for Pliš (10min). It is recommended to go all the way to Pliš so not to miss a wonderful view over Velika. Coming back, we move on and take the didactical path Turjak. It can be reconized by wooden boards with descriptons of sightseeings. After 5 minutes of walking we come to a pile of rocks where a lot of protected spring flowers was planted. We are at the crossroads of the didactical and mountain path. You can take both because after about 800 m both of them join together. Half an hour later we come to the post signs. The left diverges towards gazebo Mališćak, which is recommended and towards didactical path of Turjak, which leads to Velika. We move straight on and after a couple of minutes come to the crossroads with another diverging path. There is the Mališćak hut with a wonderful view over the Papuk peak and the south slopes of Papuk on the right and it takes you a few minutes to get there. Moving on after about 10 minutes you come across a diverging spot towards Maličćak hut. Since the last branch (spring) after 30 minutes there is another branch towards the spring of Veličanka and Velika.

Moving on in less than 500 m on the macadam road there is Orahove vode spring with small eaves. Turning left we move on towards Ivačka glava. After 15 minutes of walk there is another crossroads, left towards the Vratnice clearing and „Ulaz zvečevački“ where there is a crossroads for the Papuk peak and Zvečevo on a military road. We turn right and in 20 min we come to Ivačka glava, which is one of the highest accessible spots on Papuk. It is on 913 m above sea-level. There are stamps for the diaries of the Croatian mountain detours and SPP.

We come back the same way, it may vary a bit when you come close by the Mališćak hut and the Turjak path. The path is well marked, therefore easy for the orientation.
